Burson Teams with Autodata

Burson teams with Autodata for its information system

One of Australia’s leading auto parts suppliers, Burson Auto Parts, has adopted Autodata as their signature information system. They will roll out their new product in a DVD pack, branded Burson Autodata.

It is seen as a significant move for both companies because for the first time it will place a highly competitive choice in the hands of all Australian auto workshops. Autodata, which is a worldwide company, has established itself in Australia as a leading publisher and supplier of technical information in print and electronic formats. Burson is a trade focused supplier of auto parts, with 78 outlets through Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.

The cooperative deal with Autodata is their response to hearing customer feedback for some years about the shortage of quality and well researched global information on all makes of cars.

Autodata national sales manager Brett Engeman has committed his company to include large and regular content updates in the Burson Autodata package. These are generated by Autodata’s team of 70 researchers in Australia, the UK and the USA.

On average, each bi-annual update includes an additional 200 vehicles and around 5000 new pages.

As a result, the Burson Autodata DVD will be rich in world content as well as Australian content. The updates are sent direct to each customer.

Burson Autodata will print a service schedule interval check sheet complete with parts required.

Autodata uses colour labeled wiring diagrams, which gives them a competitive edge in the Australian market.

Burson customers who buy the information system will also be able to access a technical help line.
